That's what makes the Chantilly lace so special, rare and expensive. These special textronic machines are the original process created by it's "inventors" in 1900. The lace is produced exclusively in France. Except for the weaving, all other operations are made by hand. Being so fragile, the lace must be maintained as a haute couture item. Other customers of this lace vendor, Solstiss, are Louis Vuitton, Christian Lacrois, Sonya Rykiel, Dior and Galliano. The straps are made from "Satin Silk" to create a shimmering effect.
