Fitting / Size Charts
We all know your size changes as you loose or gain weight, have babies and
yes age. It is recommended that we check our size once or twice a year. Many
department stores offer this service but if you would like to do it yourself
here is what we would recommend.
There are two measurements you need to know in order to determine the correct
size for you. The band measurement and the cup measurement.
Band Size - is simply the the measurement around your ribcage directly under
your breast. Take this measurement, add five to it to obtain your band measurement.
(ie if your ribcage measurement is “30 +(5) = 35” band size. If your measurement
is an even number add 6.
Cup Size – Measure completely around the bust at the fullest point. To get
the cup size simply note the difference in the two measurements and refer to
the chart below. For example if you band size is 35 and the measurement around
your breast is 37 then your cup size would be B. Cup sizes go up for every
one inch difference between the two measurements.
Difference in the two measurements:
- 1” = A Cup
- 2” = B Cup
- 3” = C Cup
- 4” = D Cup
- 5” = DD Cup

Bra Fitting Tips
- Cups should be full.
If the cups of your bra are baggy then try going down
a cup size. If your cups are creasing around the nipple then try going
down a back size to pull the fabric taut. The underwire of the bra should
fit flat against your skin. If the underwire doesn't lie flat against
your skin then you should consider going up a cup size.
- Don't overfill the
cups.
Move up a cup size if you're spilling over the cups. It's best
not to have too small or too large cups. They need to be full but not overfilled.
- Allow the bra band to carry the support.
Rather than allowing the bra straps
to carry the support, allow the bra band to do so instead. This will prevent
your bra straps from digging into your shoulders.
- Check your bra band
to make sure it's horizontal.
Adjust your bra straps so that your bra
band is horizontal from front to back. Check this by standing sideways and
look into a mirror. The front of the bra band should be horizontal to the
back of the bra band.
- New bras will stretch with age.
Begin with a bra band size that allows
you to wear it initially on the loosest hook. As time goes by, usage will
cause the elasticity of the bra to loosen. Therefore, you'll need to be able
to tighten the bra band on the tighter hooks later.
- Bra band snugness.
Make sure your bra has enough give to allow for two
fingers to be inserted under the band. If you have the bra hooked on the
loosest hook and you are unable to insert two fingers then you should increase
the bra band size.
- Move around in your bra.
Try moving your arms around once you have your
bra properly fitted. It should be comfortable as well as attractive. If fitted
properly you'll enjoy wearing your new lingerie for quite a long time.

Lingerie Care
Hand washing with mild soap (without perborate) is highly recommended. Machine
washing may be too harsh on delicate embroideries and hooks. We recommend hanging
the garment to dry or reshape it and dry flat.
Do Not Bleach Do not soak prints or colors Do not tumble dry
If machine washed, place lingerie in sachet available
here in our accessories
section.
